Access what kind of budget you are thinking of and how are you going to finance it.
Next step:
Call us and we will talk with you and determine if we are the right remodeling contractor for your remodeling needs, such as :When would you like your project to begin , is it the type of remodeling we do and we will help you access if you are in the ballpark with your budget. If it is not something we do ,we will try to advise you of other options.
In Home meeting:
If together with you on the phone it is decided you would like to go ahead , we will come out to your home and give you a free consultation. This consist of meeting with you and your partner to discuss in detail the scope of your project and goals. The meeting can take from 1-2 hours and there is no charge to you. At this time we will take some site measurements and photos.
Preliminary Estimate:
Hass Bros. Construction Inc. utilizes your ideas and goals taken from the in-home visit to prepare a written preliminary estimate with recommendations out ling options for your project. You will receive just an estimated (realistic) cost for your project , if it is with in your budget and you want to proceed we will need a good faith deposit to work up final plans, work with you to make pre-construction selections, get your project scheduled and define what options you want and prepare a final contract.
Pre- Construction:
We have found if home owners make as many decisions as they can before construction starts the project moves along smoother and causes less anxiety for the home owner, we work with you to meet with Trade-contractors like-electrician-cabinet maker-flooring-counter tops-plumber etc. and then specification sheets are compiled, selection sheets filled out and have a pre-construction walk through is done. You meet the lead Forman who will be working on your project and get a chance to ask him questions and share your concerns. A pre-construction meeting is done with all our staff to be involved with your project. Communication is of key importance. We do compile a schedule however, the schedule is dependent on many things and changes in every project .We have found good communication with our home owners works better, keeping them informed on a regular bases of upcoming events and scheduled Trade-contractors.
Change Orders/Additional work Orders:
All projects have both of these, sometimes they are things the home owner wants added or changed and some times they arise from official's (inspection code changes), requested by inspectors. Change orders are considered addendums to the contract and may affect the completion date and contract amount. Change orders are done in writing and need to be signed by home owner and HBC.
During Construction:
During construction you will always have access to Leon and the Foreman managing your project. Regular meetings will be set up to keep you informed.
Nearing the finish:
As your project nears completion Hass Bros. Construction Inc. will set up a walk through with you to identify any outstanding items that need to be addressed. A final check list--punch list -- is compiled and the items will be scheduled to be resolved.
